Interesting, is the CPU usage for that app very high when this happens?
Yep, I need to add a timed deletion in addition to the startup deletion.

Nope, it was not high at all, I cannot remember the exact number, but less than 5% I think.
does the app require accessibility permissions?
Nope, it does not.
With previous BTT versions (even before reporting this slowness) and with 5.376 (2025050906), if I have not opened the CM for some time (maybe more than 10-15 mins) and/or copied anything to it (I'm not really sure which one or both), then I trigger it, the right panel takes around 0.5 sec (or less) to load the content.
I would still love to be able to put titles/names on snippets. For example mail replies that i save i would love to be able to set a title. Also if you save terminal commands, it would be nice to have a title/description.
And also categories in a snippetgroup. Would be handy if you have many different email replies. And to open and close those groups of snippets like list view in finder does with folders?
Tried making a mockup in chatgpt, but couldnt really make it as i wanted. But should be a small discrete title above snippet and not next to it like in image, and groups that collapse. Just couldnt get chatgpt to make it a compact UI.
Andreas, is there anywhere where we can see all the CM's shortcuts? This question is based on your comment that CMD+F is focusing the search field. I'm aware of the following shortcuts:
Is there a way to trigger "Show Actions Context Menu"?
Also what is the expected behavior for "Toggle Pinned"? I expect item to be placed at 1st place, but it doesn't work like this, there's no indication that the item is pinned and the item is moved below as soon as I copy new & move to top new item.
Hey @Andreas_Hegenberg, I guess you are quite busy with h@llo.ai, but were you able to check on the above comment? I've just tested again and "Toggle Pinned" is Pinning the CM window, not the item, but I'm not sure if this is useful since there's already a dedicated button for this (or at least it is a bit confusing to be under the "Context Menu" where all actions are related to the item).
I've also encountered a strange behavior: if I pop-up the right panel - as soon as it looses focus then focus cannot no longer be activated - cannot select the text etc. I can only use the buttons on the top left (Close etc.). Also I believe since the tool tip, of the button for detach, is "Detach Into Separate Floating Window" this separate floating Window should have the same "features" like when it is not detached, but I cannot edit the item, the Aa button is missing and respectively all buttons shown upon the Aa click.
Also is there a way to make this detached window to not be the same size/dimensions since for example in my case the right panel is narrow and tall, but when detached this is not really ideal window size.
Thank you in advance!
toggle pinned relates to the window - it was available before the button was available. I can probably remove it from the context menu now If it is pinned it will stay on top even when pasting.
Items currently can not be pinned (making them favorite is the closest thing )
The detach is just a super simple copy of the item in the format that was selected when detach is clicked, I have made that available because I use it a lot. Integrating it into the whole editing structure would be really complicated so this is currently low priority but I'll keep it on my TODO list.
Could you maybe do a quick screen capture of your focus issue? I think I don't understand it right now
Thank you for the "Toggle Pinned", I think it makes sense to remove it from the context menu.

It seems that the focus issue happens only after resize, if the window is not resized - no issues. I've demonstrated both cases in the video.
Is there a way at least to implement the edit function (since it is most used one) in the detached mode?
There is no way to see all shortcuts, but there are not many invisible ones:
cmd+f focus search
opt+cmd+f toggle "only show favorites"
backspace: delete
esc: close
cmd+w close
return / enter: paste selection
You can set that up like this in the BTT Clipboard Manager CAG:
Thanks for the screen capture, I'll check!
What would help me is if you could open this floating window (document / item)
directly by name. Just like you can open a group directly with a shortcut by name.
@Frank1 I’ll add that
Tomorrow (WWDC) will be interesting, there have been some hints about Apple maybe implementing a native clipboard manager for macOS and iOS - it could be cool.
Hey @Andreas_Hegenberg , were you able to check on the issue shown in the screen capture?
Additionally after some of the upgrades, the paste after editing stopped working. I have the following trigger to save and "copy & move to top" on Enter, which was working, but not anymore:

Even if I execute CMD+S followed by CMD+Y manually while on the right panel, I cannot paste the text (nothing is being pasted). It seems that CMD+Y is not copying the item while on the right panel, however the CM is being closed, which is expected since I have "Close Clipboard Manager after all actions" enabled.
I think the focus behavior is somehow related to the "dimming" floating menu. I think something is getting confused because both are BTT windows. I'll check.
Focus issue - I have disabled everything related to the dimming floating menu, and this still happens.
Is the other issue, with CMD+S followed by CMD+Y, reproducible on your end?
not at the moment, it seems to wok fine here unless I'm missing something (I'm pressing cmd+y just before it moves to top):
I'll do some more tests. Does this apply to all of your items or only some?
Only CMD+Y is working, the issue is when you edit the item while on the right panel. CMD+J for example works, but not CMD+Y.
Steps:
Ah I see the issue - but I think this could never have worked Are you sure you used this successfully in the past?
Will be fixed in next alpha.
Unfortunately Apple's notary service seems to be not responding today, so currently can't release a new alpha...
notarization finally started working again Hope the new alpha fixes this. I also made the "detached" window a normal window, this should make make the activation behavior better
@xidiot in 5.456 (uploading now) I finally implemented the HUGE changes that should improve performance. This changes almost everything in the logic and contains hundreds of lines of changed code, I would be very happy if you could try it and see whether it still works for you.
