Actions in text selection menu mostly don't work (but sometimes yes)

Describe the bug
I try to execute any action on text-selection menu but most elements don’t work. Even // (comment) doesn’t work - no changed text in clipboard and after selecting action’s icon, menu stays on the screen (not hides). But counting characters works :slight_smile:

Affected input device (e.g. MacBook Trackpad, Magic Mouse/Trackpad, Touch Bar, etc.):

Device information:

  • Type of Mac: MacBook Air M1

  • BetterTouchTool version: 5.670

Were they working for you before? Actions as far as I remember are not applying on the clipboard, but directly on the text - Text Selection Did Change · GitBook .

correct, the clipboard should not change, just the selected text is transformed

Maybe wrong description - but it still doesn't work. I make selection, try to do some action from menu and got nothing. If comment op should change marked text, it not change it and menu stay on the screen.

In general this is working fine, but maybe something is conflicting (either in the BTT setup or some other app). Possibly something is capturing the keyboard focus?

Or are you using any special keyboard layout?

I don’t use any special keyboard layout (why it can be important if Ido operations via mouse?). I stopped any application which may grab the mouse, refreshed your default preset removing old (and potential changes) and restarted BTT. Nothing changes - I mark the text, menu from BTT is displayed but click on any icon (even //) doesn’t give any reaction - menu stay on the screen and I can click once more, and more and more …
How I can get more details for better diagnose?
