Hi, I’m using BTT 6.004 with my Logitech MX Keys actually connected via Bluetooth to my M1 Mac Mini running macOS Sonoma 14.7.2
I’ve uninstalled LogiOptions+ with the terminal command written in BTT and I then was able to map the special keys on my Logitech Keyboard (I’m referring to the Calculator key, the Camera key etc.)
I then discovered that my right arrow key on the keyboard does not work anymore, I mean not at all! Even BTT doesn’t recognize it at all; at first I wasn’t sure about what happened but later the special keys stopped being recognized by BTT and the right arrow key started working again.
Any hints on how I can solve the problem? I was so happy of deleting Logi Options but I would like to use the special keys on my keyboard (and also really need my right arrow key back)
Thanks a lot for the quick reply! What I’ve noticed in the meantime is that after I’ve made BTT recognize the Logitech keyboard it seems to lose connection by itself with BTT and the outcome of this is that the special keys don’t work anymore (but the right arrow work again)
Mh that is weird, I haven't had any bluetooth disconnections here. (and if it disconnects it should immediately reinitialize after it reconnects).
You are sure you didn't accidentally press one of the connection buttons while testing?
I’m pretty sure I didn’t accidentally press one of the connection buttons. It seems to lose connection and reconnecting by itself immediately but after this happens the special keys don’t work anymore and they are not even seen by BTT if I try to reassign them
Yes, even if I had to do this a couple of times right now. BTW I upgraded to the latest Alpha (6.008) but the right arrow still doesn’t work when the Logitech keyboard is been recognized
After rebooting the Keyboard I had to go to the BTT settings and apply all settings again, but now special keys and right cursor work at the same time! I just have to see if connections remains stable or not, I had similar problems (i.e. special keys not working anymore) even with Logi Options +
Then next time it happens you can export detailed logs (they will be stored in ~/Library/Application Support/BetterTouchTool/Logs) that will show what happens on reconnect.
It works better now, but I still sometimes lose connection with the keyboard and the special keys stop working. Also, when I put my Mac Mini i often found that it wakes up by itself; I have the feeling that this is a Bluetooth issue with my Mac but I tried to pair the mx keys keyboard and the MX Anywhere mouse that I have with my unifying receiver via BTT and it didn't work. Is there a specific procedure that I have to follow?
What do you mean? Do you intend if I paired them before with the receiver?
I tried to use connection 1 on the keyboard and the mouse to pair with the unifying receiver using BTT but no pairing happened; I then used the pairing method Logitech offers via the website https://logiwebconnect.com/ and I was able to pair the keyboard with the receiver but BTT was unable to recognize the special button on the keyboard. Do you have any idea of why the pairing with BTT does not work? I tried clicking on the Reset Receiver/ Unpair All and then pressing Start Pairing Now, but the Logitech keyboard stay in the pairing search with the quick flashing of the light indefinitely
Hi! I’m using Logitech MX Mechanical (full size with numpad section too). LogiOptions+ is completely removed. After applying Logitech Keyboard Configuration at BTT and applying settings all of my modifier keys stopped to work. They were recognizable by BTT as some kind of chinese character.
I have restarted my Mac, keyboard, Apply Settings again and still nothing works. Then I re-paired keyboard and modifier keys work now but these keys stopped to work: del, home, end, pg up, pg down. In BTT they are all recognised as some chinese character (see attached screenshot).
I'll receive a mx mechanical tomorrow! seems like it makes a lot of keys avaialable for remapping - I'll add a function to record keys that should not be "diverted" by BTT and add a default profile.
Any indication in how to pair the Logitech MX keys with the Unifying Receiver with BTT? Using the Bluetooth connection I often find that the special keys stop working, and I have to go to the BTT Keyboard Settings and click on Choose Connected Logitech Keyboard and choose again the Logitech MX Keys. This happens regularly when I put the Mac to Sleep but also randomly during my work with the Mac. Sometimes BTT will find the again the Logitech keyboard by itself, but more often than not I’m required to choose the keyboard again. I would like to try to switch to the receiver connection to see if the problem is bluetooth related
