Using Caps Lock as a Hyper key sometimes causes the Command (Cmd) key to get stuck

I begin by apologizing for not providing logs and evidences -- the thing is, it's an intermittent problem, and I don't know how to provide logs and diagnostics for this.

Context: I use HyperKey a lot to access 14 apps. My settings are: Caps Lock is defined as Hyper Key on trigger, and, on release, it activates Caps Lock. I've tried with and without Shift as part of te Hyper Key trigger, but the bug occurs the same.
It's been like this for more then a month; I can't say precisely. I've using Caps Lock as Hyper Key since last year. There were a few bug in December, then they were solved and everything was fine. Then, sometime ago, cmd started randomly getting stuck.

The bug: A few times a day, when I use the Hyper Key, the cmd will get stuck. I can press any other key or several, and it will register as cmd + that key. I have to press Hyper Key (Caps Lock) or cmd again to unstuck it.

If there's a way for me to "turn on logging" and wait for it to happen, so I can provide more details to you, please let me know.

Affected input device:

Both my macbook keyboard and external keyboards are affected.

Device information:

  • Type of Mac: Macbook M1 Air
  • macOS version: 15.5
  • BetterTouchTool version: 5.444 (2025052805)

mhh there has been one report recently of this happening in a pretty specific usecase, i.e. when using hyperkey to trigger the Macbook sleep mode. You are probably not using it to put your Macbook to sleep?

No... Only to launch apps and tiling windows. I actually shared my setup here some time ago, if you want to take a look: Quick switch to most used apps

I do have shortcuts to put the computer to sleep, but not via Hyper Key: ctrl + del and alt+cmd+del.
