Describe the bug
Due to my motor disability, I use the two-finger tap function on the trackpad through BetterTouchTool, which triggers the right-click action. This function works much better than the one built into macOS because it does not require such precision when clicking with fingers very close together.
Unfortunately, when I connect my MacBook Pro to a Mac mini, if I tap with two fingers on the MacBook's trackpad while controlling the Mac mini, the cursor jumps back from the Mac mini's screen to the MacBook's screen and triggers the right-click there, instead of on the Mac mini. The same happens in reverse when using the Magic Trackpad connected to the Mac mini to control the MacBook: after two-finger tapping on the trackpad, the cursor returns to the Mac mini’s screen.
Affected input device (e.g. MacBook Trackpad, Magic Mouse/Trackpad, Touch Bar, etc.):
MacBook Trackpad, Magic Trackpad
