Stuck in crash cycle

Describe the bug
After importing the latest Aquatouch version, BTT is stuck in a cycle of starting, crashing, starting, crashing. CPU load is at 100%, and the crash cycle is preventing any user input.
In order to do use the system, I had to restart macos in safe mode and disable the BTT auto-start.
I then deleted the entire BTT app and downloaded and installed the latest version, in an attempt to start fresh. However, the same crash pattern is happening when I start the new version.
How do I fix this?

Device information:

  • Type of Mac: MBP 2017
  • macOS version: Monterey 12.0.1
  • BetterTouchTool version: 3.711

I'd first try to download the latest build from folivora.ai - Great Tools for your Mac!

If that doesn't help you can try to enabled the BTT safe mode and then delete the preset and disable safe mode again:

defaults write com.hegenberg.BetterTouchTool BTTSafeModeEnabled YES

Thanks! Enabling BTT safe mode, deleting Aquatouch from the preset, and then disabling safe mode seems to have fixed the problem.
