I just happened to check back in on this thread, thinking all hope had been lost, and was just so pleasantly surprised! I'm on the current release on Setapp (4.316) and am so excited to see that it's been fixed in a future version!!!
Actually I saw in another thread that you mentioned that Setapp now has an alpha channel - possible to upload this version there?
HI , I am planning to purchase Stream Deck PLUS for primarily using Key board shortcuts . Is it worth ?
Is it worth it will be totally a matter of opinion, but for what it's worth, here is my experience:
I have a Streamdeck+ that I got last December. I use it solely for productivity.
I'm really happy with it, for me the dials and the fact that the buttons can be application specific make it worth the price. I use my dials for things like flipping through browser tabs, paging up and down in documents, zooming and panning, where a dial is superior to using buttons. (In addition to the obvious uses for volume.). If you are planning on traveling with it, either get a special case for it or think again - the one time I took it on a trip one of the dials came off.
You should be aware that the Elgato software enables some really nice features out of the box, specifically "dialstacks" and paging using the touch screen. These can be approximated in BTT, but it took me a non-trivial amount of BTT scripting to get an approximation that I'm happy with. I still prefer BTT to the Elgato software, as it is overall much more powerful.
