At seemingly random intervals (sometimes a few times an hour, a few times a day, or sometimes a week or more will go by) and the storedata file gets updated. This causes all of my shortcuts and defined snap areas to disappear. As a work around, I have created a backup of the storedata file and manually replace it when this happens. Is there a reason this is happening or a way to fix it? Would it cause problems if I went into File Info and locked the file?
no you can not lock that file, it is essential for BTT‘s operation. (the file is also constantly changing)
Maybe you have the experimental dropbox/icloud sync enabled ?
Ah, I apologize. It appears I may be in the wrong forum. I am using BetterSNAPTool, not BetterTouchTool. I do not see a dropbox/icloud sync option in the settings. The file constantly changing seems to be the issue...restoring a version from nearly a year ago always fixes it.
Is there somewhere where we can get help with BST? Snap areas haven’t been recalling after a restart, and now, I can’t even save a new snap area successfully.
I’ve already emailed andreas@folivora.ai on November 3rd, but haven’t gotten any reply
