Social Media Notification Alerts

I would love a Touch Bar widget that can monitor and compile social media notifications in one place so I can see when something new comes in without having to manually visit each site.

Something that seems feasible to me (though I have zero Apple Script knowledge) would be a folder that could display a number and opens up to reveal what site(s) the notification(s) came from.

Has anyone tried this before?

I tried something using the rules in Apple mail. Basically you have to activate the email notifications here in the settings (or the forum you want) and create a rule "run Apple script" for this mail address. Check this out for more information and tell me if it worked for you. I have some issues with my spam filter :confused:
