Hello!

Since a few days I am getting this dialogue every time I bring my computer from sleep.

Screen Capture Permissions
To use the status icon widget, BTT needs the
screen recording permission from System
Settings => Privacy & Security=> Privacy

I don't know what widget that should be. I searched everything, do not find an answer.
But I will not give that permission.

How to get rid of the message?

the Notch Bar status item widget requires this permission. You can disable the Notch Bar feature to get rid of it.

It looks that I have disabled Notch Bar support (screenshot attached), but Screen Recording Icon still shows. The only way to take it down is to disable screen recording permission for BTT?

There are various actions that trigger screen recording permissions:

  • the integrated window switcher
  • the pin/float on top action
  • screenshot actions

After disabling Notch Bar you need to restart BTT
