Don't know if you alrdy had time for checking the log. But 3 finger tap is stuck. If I assign the gesture to an other action in this case a shortcut it shows "Toggle Floating Menu Hidden/Shown: circular example does not exist anymore as floating menu, I renamed it
I looked at your debug info, but can you describe the problem you are currently facing again? What do you mean by three finger tap is stuck?
whenever I set 3 finger tap gesture to an action, I get the conflict menu stating that there is already a floating menu (circular example) set for the 3 finger tap gesture. But this is not the case.
Ahh I think due to the paste bug a three finger tap ended up in the magic mouse section in BTT. You can delete it from there then it should work again.
A good trick to find strange stuff like this is to look at the "recently used" section in BTT
Hahah I don't use a mouse so failed to check that section. Good tip to chck recently used
Growing to like your circular app switcher more and more as it is quicker then AltTab
Maybe this is more to your liking
yep, this is what I mean by the wedge shape, I hope I‘ll be able to add this to the floating menus soon!
Idd nice to have but I'm alrdy very happy with the way it is Alternatively you could also consider a star-shape instead of a ring-shape
That wedge example is pretty close to what I had in mind. Thank you for sharing the pointer to it.
I think having the wedges be visible (but possibly somewhat transparent) may be better than having invisible wedges from a UI point of view - that way you can tell exactly where the boundaries are, thus what to expect when you click (or release) in a location that is near a boundary...
While calling this menu via trackpad:
By releasing the touch of the trackpad the selected option does not get triggerd while same menu does if summened by
Any idea why?
taps always only trigger on touch release, unfortunately they can not be used for this (there would need to be a 1 finger touch top trigger for this to work, but these would trigger accidentally all the time)
ok, no problem, seems a valid reason
In 4.771 alpha I was able to add the wedge feature (kind of).
It currently only highlights the hovered item. Also it must be enabled in the menu settings:
Hey Andreas, Nice addition, I noticed that the menu items were mirrored horizontally (12 hour icon flipped to 6 o'clock etc.) after installing the update.
The pie slice is shown even while the mouse pointer is in the center menu item
Would be nice to have a separate color option for the pie slice /border instead of using
the color of the menu item border.
The outer (rounded ) border of the slice is very close to the items. Would be nice to be able to set a spacing, effectually bigger radius.
Close When Clicking or releasing trackpad Outside doesn't work if pie slice is activated
To navigate (and find) easily between a floating menu and assigned gesture or shortcut, It would be nice to have a button in the given menu and gesture/ shortcut to toggle between the two back and forth.
ah thanks for reporting! I‘ll fix the ordering later today.
I‘ll add some styling options soon!
I think I might not understand what you mean by the toggle button, do you have an example?
I have the menu assigned to 3 finger swipe down. In following screen(Toggle Floating Menu Hidden/Shown) it would be nice to have a button to go to the corresponding menu:
and the other way around a button in the following screen to go to the assigned gesture/shortcut:
ah I see. The way from action to menu I can easily add because that’s a 1:1 relation, from menu to action would be more complicated because that’s 1:n (many actions can show the same menu) - maybe I could show a list of all configured actions that show the menu
Exactly, would speed up the navigation a lot I think. I understand the 1:n, but a dropdown or somthing would be sufficient (to me ;-))
