my favorite Tab Switching trackpad gesture!

Arc Tab Switching Gesture.bttpreset.bttpreset (13.4 KB)(Control stack ploblem fixed)

This works, but once I select the window, my single clicks turn into two-finger clicks (right-click). The only way I can use the trackpad properly is by restarting BTT. This issue occurs every time I use it. Can someone please help me? It's driving me mad. I'm not even able to open Raycast (CMD + Space) either, it provides me with emoji menu instead which is (fn + E).

sounds like your ctrl key is stuck. Maybe you have a "ctrl key down" action configured somewhere in BTT?

"ctrl key down" action is used in the .bttpreset above. If I disable to Arc Tab Switching Gesture I cannot replicate the issue described. Unsure how it works for OP but not me. I don’t use "ctrl key down" anywhere else.

yes, I just had a quick look at the preset and it doesn't contain the required "ctrl key up" action.
You can add it e.g. like this:

or even easier, like this:

Here is a slightly modified preset:

Thank you. I imported this, and I'm experiencing some strange behaviour where the tab window flashes up and then disappears (instead of waiting for a window to be selected). What's odd is that the previous preset now does the same thing, even after I disabled/removed this modified one. I even removed them all and added individually and it still does the same.

with my additions you need to keep touching the trackpad until you have selected something, are you using it like this?

ahh, so it does this when I hold but i'm unable to move the cursor

I think then you need to disable some of the conflicting system gestures. There are some that block mouse movement in such cases

I've tried disabling all other gestures but still getting the same behaviour. Struggling to find the conflict.

Could you please direct me to the block mouse movement settings?

ah you can only keep one finger touching! if you are trying to move with three fingers that won’t work

not working with one finger for me

I also tried changing it to 4 finger - keeping one finger touching, but still unable to mover cursor after trigger (unless I let go)

you can't move the mouse with one finger? I think there might be some misunderstanding. You need to do the three finger swipe with three fingers, then remove two but keep one touching.

At least that's how I think OP intended this to be used.

Yes that is what I am doing. However, I've managed to get it working using 2 finger force click and then selecting the window. Not sure why the 3 finger drag down route is not working for me.

With the 2-finger force click, the gesture triggers the action as soon as I press hard on the trackpad, and even the "Execute named trigger after release" fires immediately — so it's hard to control.

Thank you for fixing my preset.
I didn't know the "Actions excuted on touch release" function! This is very nice!

Yes now I’ve started to use 2 finger force click it doesn’t feel nice to use and is a bit clunky. I will try again with the 3 finger swipe down.

Here is the three-finger swipe down for me. As you can see, it opens the tab switcher, but I am unable to control the cursor.

can you post screenshots of the options you have active in system settings => Trackpad?
