Hi Guys.
I am working with mac. I look for a function where I can zoom in into any program (for example "Vorschau, Browser, just any programm) by scroling with my mouse wheel of a custom mouse (for example logitec) in combination with a key.
mac supports this function by their function "operation aids" but this kind of zoom is a complete zoom of everything. I need a zoom where the bar and layout of the program is still on original zoom and only the document will be zoomed in.
Now I tried to solve this issue with the better touch tool but I dont find any zoom function.
the only function I found was the "smart Zoom" which in general fullfills the above mentioned wishes but has only one zoom level (not stepless)
can any body help?
I would appreciate - thanks dave
BetterTouchTool can't do that.
The macOS standard zooming functions are really powerful but yes they will zoom the whole screen. For individual apps the app in question would need to implement proper zooming. Browsers and preview support standard zooming shortcuts like cmd+ and cmd- and/or the system standard zooming gestures, however most other apps won't.
Hi Andreas
Thanks very much for your immediate answer.
you know - if you are using the magic track pad by using two fingers you can exactely use my desired zoom function in all kind of different programs.
is it not possible somehow to programm the better touch Tool using this trackpad 2 finger programming? then we would have a solution for this problem.
Ah now I understand.
BTT doesn't have that functionality right now. Maybe I will add it at some point - it's pretty complex because this stuff is not documented by Apple.
I think you can use tools like "MacMouseFix" that specialize on making normal mouse working better on macOS.
Hi Andreas!
ok - great. I just downloaded MacMouseFix and it works! we were waiting soo long for this solution (we are architects) thanks so much for the tip.
by the way: we are also using better snap tool and we love it!
Greetings.
