Wrong resolution on retina displays

Describe the bug

I've created a custom snap area on my 15" Macbook Pro 2018 retina. In the settings I've used the following settings:

X: 0px
Y: 0px
Width: 1920px
Height: 1080px

So if I drag my browser or the Finder on that custom area the window become fullscreen and not 1920x1080.

Rebootet the system. Same thing.

Sash

What resolution is your display set to use? ( In System Preferences => Display )

Hi Andreas,

at "Display" in System Preferences I use "Standard".

Standard is 1680x1050 on 15" retina displays, thus setting it to 1920x1080 will just make it full screen.

Hum its wired. If want to record the screen with Camtasia 2018 the application said fullscreen is 3358x2100. So I want to create a full-hd screen record not a 2- or 4k, you understand?

I thought if I set the resolution to 1920x1080 on standard display settings the application will be 1920x1080 real pixels not "retina pixels".

I hope you understand

In that case you'd need to set it to the half size in BetterSnapTool (as it just uses the system information which only provides the "user usable resolution"). So setting it to 960x540 in BetterSnapTool will give you 1920x1080 in physical pixels.
