Wish List: ability to trigger Launcher Menu results by order 1→ 9 with a Keyboard Shortcut

example: if I am looking for triggers containing the keyword "Cleanshot" using the Launcher, the results are shown below.

It would be nice if I could type for example ⌘1, ⌘2 etc to ⌘9 to trigger the first to 9th search result. (please note that I am not referring the to Keyboard Shortcuts which trigger the macro and are defined when the macro is created. I am referring to Keyboard Shortcuts to trigger results as they are listed. Anybox the excellent bookmark manager does this and I find it very fast and efficient.

If there's no better option... there are launcher conditions (CAG and Advanced Conditions).

You could probably set up something like this: If the launcher is active, then
Cmd + 1 = Enter (your number 1)
Cmd + 2 = arrow down, Enter (number 2)
Cmd + 3 = arrow down twice, Enter
etc.

I know what you meant :slight_smile: But for me unfortunately, that wouldn't be "fast and efficient" because I'd have to look at the keyboard for these shortcuts.

I don't really use the launcher ... maybe not yet. But for navigating (in lists, text, etc.) with the keyboard, I use a general system that works the same way in as many places as possible.

I don't know: how do people navigate in the launcher? With the arrow keys?

I have implemented this in 6.614, the keyboard shortcuts are previewed while holding cmd:

Me? I mostly just type and select what I need via arrow keys :slight_smile: But I have to admit the cmd+ number works really well! (and the new arrow up to see the launcher history is also really helpful)

are you already on >= 6.614? It only works for new "recent items" because previously history was not recorded.

Bro, mit BTT kann man sich das selber bestellen. Habe ich auch gemacht. Man startet den Launcher mit einem shortcut und soll dann zu den Pfeiltasten wechseln, die meilenweit weg sind? Bro, das gibt "Beef". :rofl:

Etwas wie, cmd + J und K für die Pfeiltasten noch oben/unten wäre schon hilfreich. Space = Enter ist schon umgesetzt. Ich meine ja nur :slight_smile:
