Window dragging is really laggy in Chrome

When trying to move a Chrome window around the screen, it's really laggy. Sometimes the window will not even drag at all. I've noticed this only occurs after I've loaded a webpage in at least one tab, i.e. if I quit Chrome, then reopen to just a window with the home screen, there is no lag.

The effect is that I have to disable BTT for Chrome, as it makes it basically unusable. After doing so, window dragging behaves as normal. I haven't experienced any other apps with the issue.

Device information:

  • Type of Mac: M2 Macbook Pro
  • macOS version: 13.5 (22G74)
  • BetterTouchTool version: 4.184 (2403)

This seems to have resolved itself. I have no idea what the issue was.

I had the same issue for a while and it seems to be a bit better now indeed. I don't know what changed!
