Will Show Floating Webview not work with Key Sequences?

Background: I am often using an external keyboard + monitor with my computer closed, and thought I'd mimic the touch bar by letting a "floating web view" appear when pressing ctrl+alt+cmd.

However, while the floating webview works in other areas (like if assigning an actual shortcut) and while key sequences work fine with other commands, those two in combination won't work for me.
Instead, if assigning a key sequence (at least of non-character keys) to the floating webview command, will result in intermittent switching to another app, or simply nothing.

Expected or am I misunderstanding something?

Device information:

  • Type of Mac: MacBook Pro (13 ", 2016) 3,3 GHz Intel Core i7
  • macOS version: Mojave 10.14.5
  • BetterTouchTool version: 3.097 (1204)

seems to work fine here, but possibly try to close the BTT preferences window before testing the webview - it could conflict with it due to some macOS limitations.
