Weather Widget bug on TouchBar

Describe the bug
Weather widget doesn't display any information, just 0º. Tried deleting all presets and adding just the weather widget, still no results. Privacy settings allow Location to everything in the list, including BTT, LocateMe, and Weather. LocateMe in the terminal correctly shows location. Changing the widget settings to a specific lat/long location also does not work, so probably not location related. Have tried a blank Optional Display Format as well as several formats.

Affected input device (e.g. MacBook Trackpad, Magic Mouse/Trackpad, Touch Bar, etc.):
Touch Bar

Device information:

  • Type of Mac: MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019)
  • macOS version: 10.15.4
  • BetterTouchTool version: Both the general release 3.346 and alpha 3.352

Additional information (e.g. StackTraces, related issues, screenshots, workarounds, etc.):

sorry, it appears due to the corona thing many more people are working on their macbooks and the api request limit for the weather widget is being hit too fast. I'll reduce the update rate tomorrow.

Hey there -

I am having issues too. It seems to be stuck on yesterday (Friday, April 11th) and is not updating the weather.

Is this too because of the API? How can we fix this? Also - is there a way for us to select where it's pulling the data from? For example, create a setting where we can pick the source? Like DarkSky?

no, this has already been fixed and according to the server logs has been working fine the last week. Maybe something is blocking the connection?

Or maybe darksky had some issues and returned old values?

Selecting a different service is not possible because they still have very different API. You’d need to create your own weather widget for that.
