Weather and calendar are pretty basic functions that people seem to want to add to the touch bar. They're also the biggest pain for users to set up right now because they rely on third-party helpers that are dubiously maintained (icalBuddy/LocateMe/JSON Helper/Location Helper) or are rate-limited (dark sky). It also seems like JSON Helper, Location Helper, and icalBuddy are all broken on Mojave beta, and I'm not holding my breath for updates.
On the GitHub, there was talk about making official weather and calendar touch bar widgets. Is this still planned?
