UX Request plus Floating Window won't show last entry?

Hi,

created a new floating window by your preset.

1.) I have 9 elements in the list but I see only some of them. This is also for sub-menus. I guess, anywhere I have to count for BTT how many I use in the list? (I don't see a reason for this (literally, the BTT menu feels overblown to me, so I don't know where to start investigating). My process: copy and paste to add further menu entries to build up my menu.)

2.) Is there a general setting to get "Elementname/ Bezeichner" as the text I get in the menu? Right now I have to write everything twice: at Elementname for editing inside BTT and understanding, what is what. And then inside of the text box to have it on the screen in the dedicated App. For my use double work as both is the same for my brain.

For the second request I just added a new variable {item_identifier} you can use in 6.765 (uploading):

For the visibility issue, is the menu maybe too small? If you can share the menu with me (andreas@folivora.ai) I can check later today!

Size issue:

True, it was just too tiny. Gotten a bit too lazy by AI and vibe coding I would expect that it just continue growing as more entries are in the menu list? Anyway after I realized that I can drag and draw the size and it gets saved (at least for now?), I am totally fine. Thanks!

Will this item_identifier will be a new default entry? Or do I have to re-build everything by cleaning it up on my own? Would prefer that for every new entry this item_identifier will be the default and then I can overwrite it if I want?!

you need to enter the item identifier variable yourself, I can’t make that automatic. However can make it your new default for new items or create a menu template if you use that regularly

"However can make it ..." - who, me or you?

Yes, I would prefer to make that once and forever. Optional I would use a different name but then I can write it into. In terms of speed the upper text field ist faster to approaoch compared to that laggier text field below, so having there this identifier makes a lot of sense to me! :slightly_smiling_face:

you can. At the very bottom of an item‘s configuration you can use the „make default“ button. To create a new template from an existing menu, right click the menu and choose the save as template option.

I have also made it the general default for many templates in the latest build.

The item identifier is much simpler/faster, but it‘s just a plain string without formatting, thus the rich text editor will stay necessary. Also item identifiers need to be unique per menu.

What setting do I have to change that this template does not show up if I start the App LogicPro always? I assigned FN+L already. Is there a reason for this automatic pop up?

in the visibility section of floating menus you can choose whether they are visible at launch or whether they are made visible via action
