I can create a configuration to make backspace key delete files but then file renaming function doesn't work properly as the backspace key deletes the file when I try to rename a file and delete some characters in the file name. Is there any work around to achieve this?
I assume you mean in the Finder. With BTT you can set it up so that backspace deletes a file or a character depending on the field. You can find out how to do this here in the forum. However, this does not work equally well for everyone. Is it a problem to delete a file with cmd + backspace?
Yes that would be for the Finder to delete files. I'm just trying to find a way to make this function to be ignored when renaming files. When I create this shortcut on BTT, backspace button doesn't work properly so I was just wondering if there's a workaround. I can of course use cmd+backspace but it would be better to have a single key to delete files. I searched this forum before posting, but I couldn't find an answer unfortunately.
