Unable to remap 3+1 / 4+1 finger trackpad gestures (Tahoe app picker conflict)

I’ve noticed that the 3-finger + thumb and 4-finger + thumb trackpad gestures don’t seem to work in BTT.

  • Both of these gestures are currently hard-wired by macOS to trigger the new Tahoe app picker.

  • I can’t find any toggles in the BTT interface to override or block the native trackpad gestures.

  • My goal: swap out my existing muscle memory gesture (both gestures currently toggle the native app picker) and instead map it in BTT to send a keyboard shortcut that launches my 3rd-party Launchpad replacement.

Questions:

  1. Is this a known issue/limitation?

  2. Can anyone else replicate this behavior?

  3. Are there any workarounds to either disable the native Tahoe picker or capture those gestures in BTT?

Right now it looks like macOS is intercepting before BTT ever sees the input, but I wanted to confirm with others before assuming this is just a hard system block.

Thanks in advance.

It's stupid, but they are toggled by this setting:

I'll check whether there is a way to just disable these... actually I'd say this is one of the many Tahoe bugs - because why should turning "Show Desktop" off also turn off the app picker...

Thank you for that! Disabled that. But, strangely, the 3-finger + thumb and 4-finger + thumb trackpad gestures still don’t seem to work in BTT.

They seem to work fine here - however they might work slightly different from the system gestures. Here is a capture from my BTT's live view when executing them:
