Typing Blocked Sometimes when returning from Sleep

Describe the bug
In the last couple releases, I've had an issue where I'm unable to enter any text into textfields, notes, etc. It seems to happen most often after the MBP returns from sleep. The keyboard still works, for the most part, I can use CMD+Space to open spotlight, I can press the spacebar in finder to use quickview, and so forth. I just can't type any text.

The only way to resolve this is to quit BetterTouchTools. Once I do that, I'm able to type in textfields, notes, etc again.

Affected input device (e.g. MacBook Trackpad, Magic Mouse/Trackpad, Touch Bar, etc.):
MacBook Pro Keyboard (also happens on my desktop mac running BTT as well)

Device information:

  • Type of Mac: MacBook Pro M1 Max 16"
  • macOS version: 12.5
  • BetterTouchTool version: 3.826 (1972)

Additional information (e.g. StackTraces, related issues, screenshots, workarounds, etc.):
I'm not really able to catch much details on the issue, as it happens at the most inconvenient times when I need to resolve it as quickly as possible (like trying to enter data into a google sheet, or respond to a co-worker in slack or whenever.
