four fingers swipe up. I mainly use it with Safari and DevonThink. thats where I noticed the most.
Also why can't I triggerThe floating Manu when I'm on Finder? it is set for "all Apps"

In the preset shared above there is nothing that would restrict it from working in Finder. I just checked here with a fresh import of the preset and it seems to work fine. Did you use that as a template? Maybe you have a four finger swipe configured for Finder specifically that does something different?
Did you check this option on the "Hide Floating Menu" action?
Yes, I'm sorry I had an action for four finger swipe up in finder.
also yes, "Hide Floating Menu" is set to "trigger Hovered item...."
It just happened again, I was on safari, four finger swipe up, it showed the floating menu and moved cursor to DevonThink icon then it switch to DevonThink, Floating menu disappeared for 1 second THEN the floating menu reappeared again on DevonThink? weird! Have to click outside to hide it
weird, I can't think of any reason for why that would happen. Maybe check in the recently used section in BTT whether any devonthink related trigger did trigger the menu showing? Can you reproduce it with this action?
what actions do you have assigned to the "Specific App Did Launch: Devon Think" trigger?
OK first of all I just started navigating through the new BTT interface, this is all new to me. I used to used the old interface. I don't even remember Assigning any actions through Automation, Name & Other triggers.
Anyway so I disable that one and it looks like its ok now.
Another question: I have assigned the middle of the circle icon to "Active Previous App" when I launch any app for the first time and want to go back to the previous app it does NOT trigger "Active Previous App" ONLY when I go back to the previous app and trigger the Circular floating Manu again is when it works.
I'm using gestures on right click and I'm trying to make this work without luck so far. I've tried setting on the left button and works ok but hover doesn't work (even by activating the option) and there's some other quirks, not ideal.
Gestures are working even if I disable the trigger somehow.
Not sure if there could be an option that if the mouse doesn't move during the held period (0.4s for me), open the float menu instead of the mouse gesture?
ah sorry, mouse gestures and floating menu on the same mouse button will be complicated/ not possible at the moment. I’ll think about it
Hi, I implemented this and am enjoying it a lot, but wasn't able to get the swiping to work as intended - the menu appears, but i cannot move the cursor anymore once the swipe registers (using 3 fingers or dropping 2 and using the remaining). Any ideas why this might be happening?
you need to remove all but one, otherwise the system will block mouse movements
It seems to be blocking mouse movements when I remove all but one finger - I have to release all fingers to be able to move the cursor again
weird, with which gesture did you start? Probably some system gesture
youre right, the problem has nothing to do with BTT - same behaviour of 3-finger swipe -> release 2 fingers blocks mouse movement without the gesture configured in BTT. I dont see any 3 finger swipe down gesture in system settings and it doesnt seem to do anything, plus it does open the floating menu if i configure it...
I think it's one of these:
If you configure the three finger swipes in BTT instead, it should work fine
Indeed it does, didnt have the swipe down set up but having only the swipe up seems to be enough for it to try to register that instead i guess. This works really well, actually better than the other gesture I asked about.
Your app is a revelation man, thanks for your efforts
which version of macOS are you on?
15.1.1
BTT 4.925
What kind of trigger are you using to show the menu?
