I've reprogrammed the CAPS LOCK key to a keyboard shortcut. Unfortunately, the CAPS LOCK key still becomes active making me type in caps and also lighting the keyboard icon. How do I prevent this behaviour? Thanks in advance.
did you try disabling the capslock function in keyboard setting (system prefs)
Sys settings -> keyboard -> keyboard shortcuts -> modifier keys -> caplock (no action)
Adding the 'Toggle Caps Lock On/Off' action so it immediately turns off caps lock worked for me.
