"Trigger only while holding these keys:" triggers, sometimes, without holding ANY key at all

Hi,

just purchased BTT and already have some “interferences”
I created 2 (pairs of) actions for my Magic Mouse:

  • tip-tap to switch tabs
  • tip-tap+CMD for screenshots
However, sometimes, randomly, when I’m browsing and switching tabs, the screenshot is triggered without me pressing any key at all.

Macbook Air M3
Mac OS Sequoia
BTT version 6.339

Any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance

While I was unable to reproduce, it is possible that a recent change might interfere on some systems. Could you check whether this is resolved with version 6.365?

Halloschen, and thanks for the quick reply!

However, updating BTT didn’t solve the issue.

So, I’ve been testing stuff and maybe got some more info:
if I restart (the computer or BTT) the regular tip-tap does NOT trigger the CMD+tip-tap action. I can switch tabs without a problem.
But once I use the CMD+tip-tap action, the “interference” starts happening again. Once every 2-3 tiptaps, which is super annoying
I’m attaching a (prob unnecessary) video of this happening. I’m only tip-tapping in the video, no CMD or any other key is ever pressed. It simply changes behavior :frowning:

If there’s anything you need me to test, just say the word
Thanks in advance!
PS: it is not “consistent” ie every 2 tries I get wrong action. Sometimes it’s 2, then I can use it no probs for like 20 times before it messes up… no pattern

could you export your current preset? then I could check whether I can reproduce anything with your exact setup!

Absolutely! Here they are.
Also, I created these in the trial version, before purchasing, and then imported.
But to make sure, now I removed the tip-tap ones (without command) and re-added. Same behaviour…

sorry took me a while to find, but I think I discovered the regression now and fixed it in v6.377! (uploading)

Hey! It works!

By the time I downloaded it was already in v6.378, lol

Thanks a lot for the quick solution, hugely appreciated. I had only used it for the trial period, yet I can’t imagine coming back to “the old way”. Apple should send you living on royalties forever, haha

Cheers and, once again, super thanks!
