Is this expected behaviour, if trigger cat. dropdown is opened while in category the list goes over mainmenu. The size of the dropdown changes depending which cat. is open. Seems to me that a static size dropdown with all available options in view would be better.
unfortunately that behavior can not be changed for macOS popup buttons as far as I know. (Maybe at some point I could switch to using popover or similar, but this makes it more complex)
