I created a keyboard shortcut for Tableau Desktop to edit calculated fields. Currently, the only way to access the Edit option is to right-click an item and select “Edit…”. The shortcut works correctly when the context menu opens downward, but it does nothing when the menu opens upward.
Is this a bug? Thanks!
unfortunately this action only works reliably with standard macOS context menus, the app you are using seems to use some cross platform custom context menu. (I'm quite surprised it works at all with these)
Your best bet would probably be to trigger a sequence of arrow keys followed by space / enter
