Hello, I set 3 finger single tap to copy and 3 finger double tap to paste. But when selecting a text and taping with 3 fingers, it deselect the text
any specifics I am overlooking ?
do you have the macOS accessibility feature "three finger dragging" enabled? That would cause such behavior
yes I am using it, I see I can’t use both, I’ll find another gesture
Unfortunately I can’t make any 3 fingers gesture work reliably as I am using 3 fingers to drag on macOS
2 fingers gesture are also hard to use because I am using the macOS right click on 2 fingers tap/click
that's kind of expected because three finger drag changes the fundamental behavior of the trackpad in ways that are not compatible with many other gestures (I believe this is also why apple has hidden the three finger drag away in the accessibility options)
The compatibility mode can help to some degree but it won't change that the three finger dragging is fundamentally incompatible with most gestures in BTT.
are you familiar with any other good ergonomic way to drag windows apart from the weird 2 fingers gesture where you have to click hold with one finger while moving the another one ? I’d happy to stop using it
