Trackpad 3 & 4 finger clicks stop working in Safari for certain websites

I'm experiencing issues where trackpad 3 & 4 finger clicks don't work on certain websites. For example, if I set a 4 Finger Click on my trackpad to do a keyboard shortcut of Command W (close window), it won't work on this Adobe website if the cursor is anywhere on the website:

But it will work if I move the cursor out of the window and do the 4 finger click.

Is part of the issue websites trying to take control of or override the behavior of the trackpad?

Do you have something similar under:

I don't understand what you're asking. Are you asking if Recently Used shows 4 Finger Click? Yes, it does. For all apps.

For some reason, certain trackpad actions get ignored, or perhaps overridden, on certain websites. That awful Adobe website gets me every time.

What browser are you using. I've tried with Firefox and it is working on my end.

Safari.

I could only imagine you have some advanced trigger condition or CAG set up that disables the behavior for certain sites. I just tried here and it seems to work fine.

Does pressing cmd+w on your keyboard work for you?

Yes. That's why it's so frustrating.

Pressing Command W on my keyboard closes the window. But for some reason, a 4 finger click on my trackpad to trigger a Command W keystroke doesn't work on certain websites. It only fails on a few websites though.

I wish there was a way to permanently block websites from having any control over the functionality of my trackpad.

can you try to assign some additional "show hud" action to see whether the gesture actually triggers for these sites?

Not sure what a CAG is, but I don't have any advanced triggers or special conditions set up for any websites.
