Touchbar Button Locks on Repeat if I Accidentally Swipe Up While Pressing it

Describe the bug
I have added a forward delete button on my touchbar. It's positioned just above my keyboard's delete key. If my finger accidentally swipes up even slightly on the touchbar when I press the forward delete button, it will lock that button into repeating mode, and just continue forward deleting until I restart bettertouchtool. It doesn't do it every time, but it does it almost every time. Once it starts, swiping up again does not unlock the button. It just keeps forward deleting. I haven't been able to make any of the other buttons do the same thing.

Affected input device (e.g. MacBook Trackpad, Magic Mouse/Trackpad, Touch Bar, etc.): The touchbar on a 2019 Macbook Pro.
