TipTap 1 finger fix occasionally triggers when it shouldn't

Occasionally TipTap 1 finger fix occasionally triggers when it shouldn't.
I'm fairly certain that it happens when I have at least 2 fingers resting on the trackpad, but don't actually lift one.

Any ideas how to fix?

Note:
Before bug reporting, please make sure you have tried the latest (alpha) version of BetterTouchTool and that you have already tried to restart your system :-). If you encounter a crash, please attach a crash log from the macOS Console.app from the "User Diagnostic Reports" section.

  • BetterTouchTool version: (please post the exact version - not just "the latest one")

Additional information (e.g. crash logs, related issues, etc.):

you can adjust some sensitivity values in the advanced settings.

Best open BTT’s live view and try to reproduce it there, then you’ll see what the trackpad “sees”

Thanks.

The scenario I described doesn't seem to be sensitivity though.

Is it possible for me to have live view constantly record, so I can review it when the bug happens?

I ask for this because:

  1. I'm unable to replicate it deliberately.
  2. It only happens roughly once a day.

I also feel like something has changed with tiptap gestures. Ive been using same 3 finger tiptap for cmd T in safari for 5+ years and all of a sudden i was able to start a machine gun tiptap that opened 10 new tabs in safari, while holding fingers on the trackpad. I played around for a week with sensitivity settings, but all changes just made it hard to trigger tiptap gestures. I ended up adjusting the minimum finger distance just the right amount to not be able to accidentally trigger it.
I also use tiptap for application switcher so its my number 1 gesture.

I first thought it was me going over to a wireless magic trackpad. But maybe it is something else.

Andreas_Hegenberg: This fantastic software is like a part of me, if something stops working in it, its as if a normal computer user looses its mouse courser.
