Three-Finger App Switcher Gesture

I created a preset that makes switching between applications feel quick and fluid.

How it works

  1. Swipe up with three fingers to trigger the app switcher.
  2. Lift two fingers, keeping one finger on the trackpad.
  3. Move that single finger to hover over the app you want.
  4. Release your last finger to instantly switch to that app.

This gesture lets you open another app in one continuous motion without needing an extra click or tap. Once you get used to it, it feels very natural and keeps your hand on the trackpad the whole time.

Hey this is what I need. However, it's not working. I swipe up with 3 fingers but it freezed when I release 2 fingers, I can't control to hover the mouse arround. Please help.

Actually, I didn’t understand the problem. Could you elaborate on it or share a GIF or video?
Are you following gesture as shown in the gif I shared?

This is my case:

  1. Swipe up with 3 fingers --> trigger success
  2. Lift 2 fingers, keeping 1 finger on the trackpad --> I did
  3. Move that finger around --> I did but the mouse not moving
  4. Release your last finger --> instantly swich to the latest app

Okay, I understand the issue. There is a good possibility that another three-finger gesture is interfering with this one.

Could you please check whether any macOS trackpad gestures, such as Three-Finger Drag or Three-Finger Text Selection, are enabled? If they are, please disable or change those settings and test again.

If those gestures are not enabled, please let me know.

I think you're right. After I turned off the 3 fingers gestures on macOS trackpad, it works perfectly. Thank you for this cool preset. Thank you
Can you do something similar for the Mission control switcher?

Thanks! glad it worked for you.

For Mission Control, macOS already has a built-in trackpad gesture:

Settings → Trackpad → More Gestures → Mission Control → Swipe up with four fingers

If you have a different use case in mind, let me know the scenario you’re trying to solve. I’d be happy to see if I can create a preset for it.
