Text in Figma Automatically Copied to Clipboard Upon Selection (Without ⌘C)

Describe the bug

Whenever I select any text in the Figma macOS app—just by clicking, dragging, or double-clicking—the selected text is instantly copied to the clipboard, without pressing ⌘C. This only happens in Figma; in other apps like Chrome, selection alone does not trigger copying.

This behavior causes issues when trying to replace text: I copy string A, then try to double-click string B to overwrite it—but the clipboard is instantly overwritten by string B.

This happens consistently and only with Figma.
Recently I downloaded and used the text selection floating menu, but even after I disabled those presets, the problem still persisted.

Affected input device (e.g. MacBook Trackpad, Magic Mouse/Trackpad, Touch Bar, etc.):

Device information:

MacBook Pro
13-inch, M1, 2020
macOS Sonoma 14.6.1
BetterTouchTool Version: 5.356

This can happen with the text selection preset in some apps that handle selection in non-standard ways, you can try disabling that for Figma only:

Okay, I'll use this workaround. Thanks Andreas!
