Support for Logitech MX Master Mice

@spanway I found something interesting in your logs:
Your mac doesn't seem to go to sleep at all - it just has a locked or turned off screen. That's why BTT never receives the wake notifications and doesn't reapply the config. However logitech mice still go into an idle mode if they haven't been used for a while - even if the Mac was not really sleeping.

There might be something that keeps your Mac awake.

6.198 should now reapply the config when coming back from a locked screen also.

Man I didn’t even think of that, it’s from a script I use to close down but I still need access to the machine so the display just turns off! I’ll check this out when It comes through - thanks so much!

Hello

Yes, I tend to swipe quickly.
Maybe not fast enought to down the value of quick release XD
For now, I’ve got some acceptable settings

Hey Andreas, sorry I’ve been out of the office these last few days. The issue persists even on 6.198 - thanks

I just updated to 6.199 too and it loaded up but didn’t affect the mouse DPI until I went In and clicked it in the settings also. (The issue is always the DPI, I think everything else works)

could you send the logs once more? (your case is a bit special due to the no sleep but idle state). Worst case you can set a trigger that triggers after screen unlock and sets the mouse dpi.

Yeah that’s no problem for me - is that available now?

I’ll send logs over right now.

hello Andreas I’m having an issue with my MX Anywhere 3. Several times a day, it randomly loses the custom speed settings I configured in BetterTouchTool, as well as the keyboard shortcut I assigned to button 7.

It’s like the mouse reverts to its default button configuration.

To fix it, I have to restart BetterTouchTool, and then everything goes back to normal, but this happens two or three times a day. It just happened to me 15 minutes ago, I can provide you with my log if you need it.

logs would be helpful, here is how to enanle them:

i just sent you the logs

they will however only log if they had been enabled before the issue happened, was this the case with the ones you just sent?

yes everything was working fine before i type the command

and then it stopped working? (we need to catch that in the logs)

Yes, right after I typed the command.

ah but that is most likely due to the command restarting some stuff. I'll check but most likely you'll need to send them again after it happens now without running the debug command again

ok sure thanks

@spanway I think I found something in your logs again
Would be great if you'd test with 6.201 alpha!

@Emm_Gr I think this could be the same issue as yours, so hopefully resolved in 6.201 alpha

What was it? I just downloaded the alpha, thanks.:folded_hands:t3:

seems like is working well now, thanks for the fix

great! The issue was very technical, BTT was trying to talk "too fast" to the mouse, overloading the receiver resulting in an error.
