In which app are you trying to zoom? Have you tried to delete the zoom scroll modifier and add it again with default settings?
I just confirmed with my MX Master 4 in the Preview app that this is generally still working

@ravebcn if you can reproduce this, best enable the detailed logging via this terminal command:
osascript -e 'tell application "BetterTouchTool" to set_user_defaults key "BTTLogitechDebugEnabled" numberValue 2'
Then reproduce the issue and if it happens again send the logs from this folder to me (andreas@folivora.ai). ~/Library/Application Support/BetterTouchTool/Logs (go there via Finder => Go => Go to Folder, make sure to include the ~). Is your mouse connected via bluetooth or receiver?
@velikistreber just to be sure, the direction BTT shows might not always be correct (depending on the system settings) - scroll right might actually require a Scroll Left.
If that however doesn't change anything - do you have any apps that could still conflict with BTT? Steer Mouse for example is known for breaking scroll triggering with BTT.
I try always in both directions left or right, but doesn’t work. I have previously deleted Better mouse, tried to install Logi Opti+, then uninstall it with Terminal “sudo …”
dongle! I have enabled the command and I will send the registry if it appears again. Thanks
@velikistreber could you post the output of this? It would show if another app is intercepting scroll events:
SystemEvents.txt (4.9 KB)
Unfortunately all good in there, BTT should definitely receive the scroll events then. ![]()
Unless there is a problem with the Accessibility permissions, but usually that would show an error. I'm currently a bit out of ideas :-/
Hi @Andreas_Hegenberg I have just sent you the log. It happened again after a normal suspension of my Mac.
Based on your log I added some extra code that hopefully helps with this scenario in 6.090! (Uploading)
Workaround at least for “Scroll modifier” : no one mouse need to be selected
That's interesting! Could you go to Help => Export Diagnostic Debug Information and send the result to me? (andreas@folivora.ai)
I believe maybe something that has been deleted is still interfering, possibly a database problem.
Legend! I can confirm it works, thanks a lot!
Amazing thanks. It’s amazing how quick you are…
@velikistreber unfortunately I still wasn't able to reproduce this here. However I have added some more safe guards with 6.092 (uploading now) - could you check whether that helps?
If zooming still fails, could you try to uncheck and then check again this setting in system settings (that resets any state issues):
Hey Andreas, can confirm this is now fixed - thanks so much!
Hi Andreas, with 6.092 works everything (without any workaround). Thanks for your support.
I today got a MX Vertical and did some testing, but could not find any issues, could you try whether you still encounter this with 6.093?
Sometimes you’ll have to show us your work environment. You must have dozens of different mice around you, testing every little detail. ![]()
Hey @Andreas_Hegenberg, thanks for checking! I installed 6.095 and the issue still occurs. I have bound:
Each button 3 press is detected twice, resulting in two actions being triggered.
Button 4 presses are detected correctly.
