Hi Andreas & BTT Team,
First of all, thank you for building such a powerful and flexible tool! I've been a long-time user and absolutely love BTT. That said, there's a small UX issue I keep running into:
When setting up Activation Groups, the ability to create a nested condition group by holding the Option (⌥) key and clicking "+" is incredibly useful—but also very easy to forget or overlook.
I often find myself wondering "How do I make nested conditions again?", even though I’ve used the feature before. This suggests it’s not very discoverable.
Suggestion: Add a small visual hint next to the "+" button (like “Hold ⌥ for nested”), or display a brief tooltip when hovering. Even a short line of text somewhere near the condition builder would go a long way in helping users remember this.
Also, there are many amazing features in BTT—like:
- Advanced Trigger Conditions with system variables
- Scriptable JSON actions
- Scheduled triggers & background automation
- HUD overlay tools and custom alerts
...but many users may never discover them, simply because there's little in-app guidance or onboarding.
Suggestions to improve discoverability:
- Include a “Tips & Tricks” panel inside the app
- Highlight “Hidden Power Features” on the welcome screen or update popup
- Add lightweight onboarding or feature tours for first-time users
BTT is packed with features that could empower users even more—if only they knew they existed.
Thanks again for this incredible tool!
