Stuck in update loop (possible reason in comments)

Describe the bug
When I update my app it does not update but then when it opens it shows the update window again, it basically is stuck in an update loop. My app is install in the users application folder not the main application folder.

Affected input device (e.g. MacBook Trackpad, Magic Mouse/Trackpad, Touch Bar, etc.):

Device information:

  • Type of Mac: M3 Macbook Air
  • macOS version: 14.4.1 (23E224)
  • BetterTouchTool version: 4.525

Additional information (e.g. crash logs, related issues, etc.):
I thinks this is due to my app being in users application folder not the system application folder, how can I have the app update and run from there?

should be fixed! there was a problem with the version number
