Stream Deck - BTT actions to change profiles on devices

I would lov e to havde the possibility tio change stream deck profiles on my two phisical Stream Deck devices.

It’s not clear what you want to do. Maybe provide a couple of examples?
(For instance, are you asking about showing different sets of buttons on the two devices, swapping buttons in and out in different circumstances, something else?)

well, since BTT already has some Stream Deck integration, I would like using bettertouchtol triggers (shortcut, gesture or similar), to change the profile of a streamdeck physical device.
Just like the action “switch profgile” you can assign to a button in the elgato software

Speaking only for myself, I haven’t looked at the elgato software in a couple of years now, so I don’t remember what an elgato profile does. There are likely to be other BTT + Streamdeck users who also don’t know what an elgato profile does. (And “profile” is one of those words that gets used in a lot of different ways relating to changing available functionality.)

Maybe the BTT action “'Open Stream Deck Group with Name'“ will help you - this allows you to group a set of StreamDeck buttons and to activate them all at once.

You can also look at using App specific triggers or Conditional Activation Groups:

well,
i’m sure that the streamdeck profiles where present on the streamdeck software for a lot more than a couple of years…

A profile is a page or set of pages assigned to a device.
a device can have multiple profiles, and profiles can be associated with a pecific application, so the page can change at frontmost app changes.

streamdeck have a specific command called switch profile.
you can assign it to a button and specyfy page, profile, page of the profile

I would like to have the same functionality in BTT, and switch profiles from a BTT trigger

and no, it seems that has nothing to do with “Stream Deck Group with Name”

@telephant gave you the answer. Myself, I use a combination of application specific groups and conditional activation groups. As a result my pages are pretty dynamic. And the notion of a full-page profile is gone.

Perhaps the problem is that you are still using the Elgato software and using BTT as a plug-in? Don’t do that. Jump in to full-on BTT control, it’s far more powerful.

Thank you both, but what you are saying can’t help me in no way
too much things already setup in Stream Deck!
I have no intention to restart again with all the stuff.
again, it seems that the worderful Andreas is coming in help with a “change device profile” functionality to launcg from a BTT action
Thanks again!
