'Source Type: AppleScript From SCPT File' not working

AppleScript only works if pasted into BetterTouchTool and not when using a .scpt file.

When configuring 'Keyboard Shortcuts' the 'Actions Executed On Trigger' description reads 'Run Apple Script (async in background)' when the AppleScript is pasted into BetterTouchTool. And the script works as expected.

When the 'Source Type' is changed to 'AppleScript From SCPT File', the 'Actions Executed On Trigger' description changes to 'Run JavaScript for Automation (async in background)' which doesn't run the script file.

Use case: Running .scpt files using non-global hotkeys, which only work when the Finder.app has focus. This is a feature I previously used with Quicksilver.app and was hoping I could use BetterTouchTool for.

Device information:

  • Type of Mac: Intel MacBook Pro
  • macOS version: 13.7.1
  • BetterTouchTool version: 4.843

this has already been fixed in the latest alphas :+1:

Thanks Andreas.

Good to know I won't have to convert my scripts.
