Snap Areas breaking dragging windows in Mission Control.

Describe the bug
When you have Mission Control open and drag a window most of the time Snap drop points show up.

While this is expected and useful, it's now got a weird side effect that the top Desktop views on each window now has that layer of the wallpaper and Snap drop points showing instead of the windows thumbnails. IF you drop the window on a desktop, instead of moving the window to that desktop it seems to create a new desktop (often on another window) and then throws the window as far off that new desktop as it can! Out of sight for sure!

Another weird thing is that this mode doesn't ALWAYS show up on the current desktop (as it use to) now while dragging a window. This means that SOME windows CAN be dragged onto another desktop as the glitch isn't there.

Here is a screenshot of me dragging a window that faults out and shows the snap drop zones on both the current desktops and the desktop thumbnails for this window. Dragging a window onto one of the top thumbnails will YEET it off the visible screens... Often onto it's own new desktop!

Working:
Here is one with the window drag not showing up the Snap drop points either on the current desktop or the desktop thumbnails. So you can drop the window on another desktop like this but getting it to allow this seems hard to work out. I THOUGHT it was all windows apart from the active window but that isn't true... And canceling Mission Control, picking another active window and re-starting it often changes the faulty windows around.. Not always fixing the window you want to move but there is a chance it will! THIS is the hack I'm currently using to get around the bug. :wink:

I've updated to the latest Alpha, rebooted and no fix. It's been an issue I THINK since MacOS 27 but can't be sure. :man_shrugging:

I think snap areas should be disabled in general while mission control is active, don't you think so? Is there a usecase where snap areas are helpful while Mission Control is active?

I'll add something to the next build that automatically disables them while mission control is active.

So I have used it in the past to grab a window that is off the screen (like when this bug kicks in and yeets it away) and put it back somewhere I can grab it... BUT really that's a hack for other issues...
I do know of a few other methods like terminal commands that can do it as well.

I realised when writing that bug report that it's more annoying than a benefit in my opinion (Hence saying it is expected and useful at the start of the bug report).

Unless someone else can see another every day use I vote to disable it fully in Mission Control like situations.
