How about a new action that includes the following configurable options?
1- Total number of windows to manipulate
2- Minimum window size layout
3- Maximum window size layout
4- Arrangement
5- Apps involved
6- Exclusions
1- Total number of windows to manipulate
Here, the user would specify the number of windows to be moved and resized. Entering 0 would mean that the action applies to all open windows.
2- Minimum window size layout
Here, you could choose from all available layouts: two vertical halves, two horizontal halves, thirds, quarters, and more.
3- Maximum window size layout
Here, you could choose from all available layouts that are equal to or larger than the minimum layout selected previously.
4- Arrangement
Choose whether to order the windows from right to left or from left to right.
5- Apps involved
Choose whether the action applies to windows from all running applications, or only to the windows of the frontmost application.
6- Exclusions
Enter window names that should remain unaffected.
Enter app names whose windows should remain unaffected.
For the layout options, a "mosaic" mode could be added, which would attempt to arrange the windows in the smallest possible size, with the user able to set a maximum number of windows for the mosaic. For example, a 9-tile mosaic would result in the windows being arranged in a 9-tile layout.
