Sluggish Typing when BTT is running

Suddenly typing is very delayed when BTT is running. Quitting BTT fixes the problem instantly. Other finder actions - like moving windows also sluggish. I saw this earlier and after updating the most recent Alpha version.

Device information:

  • Type of Mac: Apple M4 Pro, 48GB
  • macOS version: 26.4.1 (25E253)
  • BetterTouchTool version: 6.562

Additional information (e.g. crash logs, related issues, etc.):

this can happen if your computer is under heavy load, best check activity monitor for any process that uses a lot of CPU (>= 100%)

thanks - I'm pretty sure that's not the cause.

there are not many other reasons why BTT could influence typing. Did you maybe recently install another app that might interfere? (Sometimes it can be problematic if other apps do not handle event taps correctly)

If that's also not the case, I'd restart macOS.
