Siri Remote lacks love

Hi! First of all - thank you for your work. BTT is quite special, complicated software created with love.

Back to topic, current implementation of Siri Remote is, of course, good to have - but in my opinion, it have much more potential with two simple additions:

  1. Separate On/Off actions of mouse control mode instead of Toggle.
  2. State variable of mouse control mode

These two would allow us to automatically switch between modes based on different conditions or triggers. Some scenarios requires mouse, some - keys.

My idea is "Remote Buddy"-like menu to quick access things using remote. It would be so good to use it with remote's arrow keys, but they are, unfortunately, disabled in Control mode.

Also, not required for my ideas, but I still think it'd be good to have:

  1. Setting to keep working arrow buttons in Control mode.
  2. On a second gen Siri Remote, Apple introduced a few gestures - they using them for scrolling. It would be cool if we could map them with BTT.

UPDATE: Thanks to Andreas, I found BTTSiriRemoteMouseModeActive variable - it actually helped me a lot, since now I can use it in "If" action and build logic out of that.

On / Off actions might still be a little bit more user friendly for some cases, but globally it solves my problem. Thanks again!

I have added on / off actions in 5.328 alpha. (uploading)
