Describe the bug
Whenever BTT is open, I get significant systemwide typing lag and scrolling lag. Activity Monitor shows nothing unusual for BTT on any of the tabs. That is to say, no excessive CPU usage, no excessive RAM. It happens immediately after a restart, because BTT opens on login.
As of now there is a 100% correlation between severe system lag (scrolling, switching windows) and BTT running. I have not updated my BTT config for months.
Affected input device (e.g. MacBook Trackpad, Magic Mouse/Trackpad, Touch Bar, etc.):
Keyboard, trackpad, magic trackpad
- 2021 MBP M1 32GB.
- MacOS 15.3
- BTT 5.377 (also 5.388, 5.392)
Unbelievable. I wait five days to make the post and the problem just goes away on its own an hour later. Classic.

I'm having this same exact problem. I'm getting systemwide lag with typing and scrolling. It is intermittent but happens every few minutes. Restarting BTT fixes it temporarily, but disabling BTT or quitting BTT is the only thing that fixes the lag permanently
I can report something similar. But of course I don't know whether it's connected.
I have two scroll triggers (2 fingers up/down) that change the volume. But only when y = 0.
However, I see in Recently Used that the triggers also change position when scrolling but the mouse is not at the edge of the screen. This means that the action is always executed.
The volume is not changed. But scrolling is slowed down everywhere.
I have simply deactivated the triggers.
yes, for such triggers conditions should not be used. The problem is that the condition needs to be evaluated on every little scroll event - and there are hundreds of these for just a simple scroll up/down
I see, then maybe others have set up something similar and don't remember.
Could this be my problem too?

If so, I don't understand what I suddenly changed as my 2 trackpad Gesten worked fine till half a year or so. The lag came with the last Alpha or with something I did wrong. Everything I changed I asked in this forum.
