See attached. Note that this is appearing in an enlarged view compared to the view on my computer. The meta info is so much larger than the actual text that I have copied! It is also treating it as an image for some reason when I copied text?
the app you have copied this from put a image into the clipboard, which is why BTT is showing it.
Does your Word always behave like this? Usually it makes sense to preview the image, but for Word it doesn’t really make sense. I can add a special filter for word to not use the image preview.
Those came from Word. They all look like that. I am just copying text using the Mac shortcut (CMD-C) and then that is how I see it in the clipboard manager. So I don't know why BTT sees it as an image. You are right that this is a Word issue. When I copy from other apps (e.g., BBEdit or MacMail) it is better though still smaller than I would like. The app icons make each 'line'/item very large but the actual text being copied is not driving that, the icon is. When I use other clipboard apps (e.g., Maccy) the icon is the same size as text. The meta data then shows up as a pop-up if I hover. As a result, the clipped text is more readable and more fits in the pop-up box. I appreciate that it may be the aim for the BTT clipboard manager is different to Maccy, if so, fair enough! But if it is a matter of refinement at some stage, then that would be great as I like to reduce the number of apps running in the background where I can.
In v5.02 alpha I have added some workarounds for Word (will only apply for new copies) and added a setting to change the font size.
If you prefer Maccy that's absolutely fine - there are many great clipboard managers out there! Personally I like the BTT clipboard manager much more, but that's because I created it for myself (long before Maccy was available ;-))
