Setup partial window layout

When I connect my sidecar iPad, I'd like four windows to end up in the four corners. Preferably without having to activate any of the windows.

If I use saved window layout, it will re-arrange all my windows. I don't see any way to limit the layout to only consider these four windows.

If I use the custom move/resize action, the apps blink on the destination monitor (in the wrong place), but then end up in the same place as originally. Not sure why or how to fix it.

So I'm not sure what is the best way to achieve this. Ideally, I would like a "Move window NamedThis to snap area X" action.

MacOS: 15.6
BTT: 5.570

I tried creating three move/resize actions (since I read somewhere that moving and resizing in the same action was problematic).

  1. One to move to the correct screen, without changing position.
  2. One to move the window's top left corner to the center of the screen.
  3. One to resize the window by filling to the bottom and to the right edge.

#1 makes it flicker, the window appears on the right screen for a millisecond and then back to the original screen.
#2 does nothing.
#3 does the right thing.

The easiest would be to do it with the "Save / Restore Specific Window Layout" action.

By default it will capture and restore all of your open windows so you have two options:

1.) Close all other windows before capturing the window layout, only keep the 4 windows you want to arrange.

2.) If you had more windows open, you can edit the resulting JSON and remove the ones you don't want to restore:
