Sequoia Native Window Center vs. BTT Center Window Differences

Hi @Andreas_Hegenberg,

With the introduction of the native "Center" menu item under "Window" for applications in macOS 15, I noticed a small pixel difference between that native function and the BTT Center Window action. They don't seem to consider something "centered" at the exact same position, so there is a constant "wiggle" of the windows if I run one after the other.

Do you have this (extremely) small thing in your radar? Will you think in making the Center Window action now behave the same as the native Apple one, or will there always exist this difference?

Thanks!

what are you using this for? ( why would you run one after each other?)

I've been using the BTT Center Window action for years, dozens of time per day, to center all kinds of windows. With the introduction of the native one in Sequoia, I wanted to use the native one first, so I'm triggering that one and the following it with the BTT Center Window Action, for those huge amount of floating windows without dock icons, modal message box, system screens, etc., where the Window\Center menu item is not available.

Running these two together was when I noticed the difference of a few pixels. So I wrote some AppleScript to check if the "Center" item exists, which delays the action like 0.25 seconds, so it's not as fast as before.

In any case, for any user running your Center Window action alone, wouldn't you agree that it would be best to update the calculation there to center the window exactly as what Apple is doing natively now? Again, this is an extremely minor thing; something to polish BTT even further!
