"Search selected text with google" results in searching the most recent copied thing

Describe the bug
After setting "Search selected text with google" to a trigger. After triggering this, it will search safari for the most recently copied thing(CMD + C) or whatever is on top of my clipboard. I tried adding another action, "CMD + C" as a keyboard shortcut(so I can "copy" it and search my highlighted text) before "Search text with google" but it brings up my old copied text(and the selected text does not get copied over to my clipboard).
If I attempt this without anything on my clipboard(while highlighting something), then safari brings up the default google.com homepage.
