I am posting here because I have not received any response regarding my refund request.
I sent an email requesting a refund for my BetterTouchTool purchase and later sent a follow-up email to check the status, but I have not received any reply or confirmation so far.
I generally only do refunds in the EU or if they are due to payment related issues (e.g. double purchase)
Refunds always cost a lot pf money because I still need to pay the payment related fees. Also they have been used maliciously too often. That’s why BTT offers a long 45 day trial that allows to checkout all features.
I would like to clarify the circumstances surrounding my refund request.
During the 45-day trial period, I attempted to achieve the functionality I needed with BetterTouchTool, but I was unable to get it working at that time.
After the trial expired, I spent additional time researching documentation, community posts, and possible configuration methods. Based on what I learned, I believed that I might now be able to achieve the functionality, so I decided to purchase BetterTouchTool and try again.
Unfortunately, even after purchasing the license and making further attempts, I was still unable to implement the functionality I needed.
When making the purchase, I had also read the refund policy on the BetterTouchTool website stating that refund requests can be submitted within 14 days of purchase and are considered on a case-by-case basis outside the European Union.
In addition, consumer protection regulations in South Korea generally allow cancellation and refunds within 14 days for many digital purchases, so I believed that submitting a refund request within this period would be acceptable.
I completely understand that refunds outside the EU are not guaranteed and are reviewed individually. However, considering the circumstances above and that my refund request was submitted within the 14-day period, I would sincerely appreciate it if you could make an exception and reconsider my refund request.

I don’t know you or your circumstances, so I’m really not here to criticise. I’m just sharing my thoughts with you.
OK, something you wanted to do doesn’t work with BTT. Bad luck. But are you aware of everything BTT can do? Really a lot! The few dollars you paid are very well invested, even if you only use a quarter of the features. I can only recommend that you keep your licence and explore what you can do with BTT.

I completely agree that BetterTouchTool offers a huge number of features and that many users find great value in it.
It is also possible that I was simply unable to implement the functionality I wanted, rather than the functionality being impossible with BTT itself.
However, the reason I am making this request is related to the refund policy that was presented on the BetterTouchTool website when I made the purchase.
The policy states that refund requests outside the European Union are considered on a case-by-case basis if they are submitted within 14 days of purchase. Based on this information, I understood that there was at least a possibility of requesting a refund if the product ultimately did not meet my needs.
If the purchase information had explicitly stated that refunds would not be available for users who had already used the 45-day trial period, I may have chosen not to purchase the license in the first place and would not have made this request.

In the European Union refunds are available within 14 days of purchase, you do not need to provide a reason if you decide to request a refund. In other regions refunds are only available for special cases, e.g. accidental double-purchase; they are decided on a case by case basis and are not guaranteed. (Make sure to use the 45 day trial for testing BTT.)
To request a refund, just send an e-mail to andreas@folivora.ai. Alternatively you can send us a letter (for the address see the imprint). Your refund request will only be processed if you contact us within 14 days after the purchase. Refunds will not be processed if your machine has been flagged for using pirated licenses in the past.
